Sublime Frequencies Film Screening (Robert Millis), and The Sheen

Sound artist, guerilla ethnographer, photographer, composer extraordinaire Robert Millis (Climax Golden Twins, Sublime Frequencies) will be playing some songs and screening his original film, This World is Unreal Like a Snake in a Rope. The film is “a journey to the heart of Dravidian Tamil Nadu, through the eternal never-ending collage that is INDIA. Featuring Hindu trance ceremonies, free jazz nagaswaram raga, deafening cities, processions, devotion, color, abstractions, music and more. India is too vast and rich to ever know: offered here is one tiny perspective, one dream, subjective and flawed, hanging by a thread, captured live in the moment and in the midst. One trip in the order it happened. Not quite documentary. Not quite ethnography.”
