The first true graphic novel from Dave McKean (famous for his work with Neil Gaiman and the movie Mirrormask), Cages is dreamlike and surreally philosophical. Although this has been long out of print, so I’d recommend checking out McKean’s short story collection, Pictures that Tick for some of his own work.
