David Holmgren does a wonderful job tackling the problems of Peak Oil and Climate Change from the perspective of Permaculture. He gives solid explanation for the basic principles and applies them to sustainable food production and community development. A little dry at parts, but a well-written and informative book!
A good read. I found its presentation to be too concise.
