Erna. F. Rubinstein

Erna Rubinstein, who is “Ruth” in this story, was born in Zywiec, Poland. After the war, she worked with the UN Relief and Rehabilitation Administration and the International Refugee Organization in Germany. Since the early 1950s, she has lectured and taught about the Holocaust in universities, schools, churches, and community centers.
