DESCRIPTION:The Alternative Library presents a mini-fest of noise\, improvised music\, and dark electronics. Short performances and light intermissions will highlight harsh tones and extended techniques across the dynamic musical geography of the PNW. \nDoors at 7:30pm; performances at 8:00pm\n$5-15 sliding scale \nFeaturing: \nCj Boyd – Bassist turned vagabond\, C.J. Boyd uses bass loops and voices in order to try and stop time. On perpetual tour since March 2008\, movement and stasis are both at the center of his music. Weaving together improvisation with a sparse\, minimalist aesthetic\, Boyd creates waves of sound\, worlds of provocative unlived memories through a singular approach to the upright bass and electric bass guitar that makes everything near and far.\nhttp://cjboyd.bandcamp.com/ \nAnimal | Inside – Downtempo trip-hop twosome Animal|Inside combine electronic drums with roving synth melodies to create the perfect musical setting for delicate and haunting vocals. Cavernous\, cerebral\, and just plain dark\, Animal|Inside’s songs seem made to transport the listener to a swirling landscape of beauty and rawness.\nhttps://animalinside.bandcamp.com/ \nKole Galbraith (Sea) – Seattle based drone and noise artist\, Kole Galbraith explores rock and roll based instruments’ revolutionary affects in various contexts and settings.
