DESCRIPTION:White Noise: An Evening of American Magic and Dread:::\nDoors at 7:30pm; Performances start at 8:00pm\n$6 Admission \n— \nA series of multimedia performances involving live music\, spoken word\, video\, and fixed media works by students from Devised Musical Performance\, a course at Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies (WWU). \nIt is a show of creative works derived from and inspired by Don DeLillo’s novel\, White Noise\, a darkly comic work about life in modern America. The novel\, and the resulting creative adaptations\, address issues of media saturation\, capitalism\, environmental catastrophe\, and the quest for happiness and everlasting life through consumerism.
