Her undergraduate concentration was called Catharsis: Writing the Shadows. She has been awarded three Lannan Foundation Grants\, the Carolyn Walton Cole Endowment Fund in Creative Writing\, and the James T. Whitehead Creative Writing Endowment. As a tutor and teacher\, Taylor has been helping others write since 2012.
