DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night of music and collaboration through woven connections!\nDoors at 7:30pm; Music at 8:00pm\n$8 admission supports the artists and the AltLib \nHannah Mayree – Original banjo prog-folk music combined with participatory co-creation of musical harmony. Mayree is a storyteller and creates the musical backdrop weaving in folk music as a communication between cultures and through time. Composed while traversing Turtle Island\, the American landscape\, communing with people and plants\, their songs incorporate African rhythms and diverse European and American folk traditions to express the profound mystery contained within all beings. Through tools of community gathering\, social permaculture and self healing\, new realities are constantly being crafted and designed.\nhttp://www.hannahmayree.com/ \nStrong Sun Moon is a multi-genre experimental ensemble from Seattle\, featuring a blend of styles influenced by Latin rhythms\, Americana\, Blues and World music. The group transcends genre boundaries with a unique combination of complex ancient rhythms\, piercing 21st century lyrics\, and a blend of musical styles from three continents\, weaving a kind of inclusive love that inspires a true sense of community.
