He has been hailed by the Village Voice as “the king of sampling.” and “one of the best composers living in (the USA) today.” Stone studied composition at the California Institute of the Arts with Morton Subotnick and James Tenney and has composed electro-acoustic music almost exclusively since 1972. His music address dualities\, where ambient\, minimal textures give way to dense\, engulfing soundscapes. And floating landscapes are shadowed by anxiety\, becoming a somewhere path for wanderers.\nhttp://www.stevensehman.com \nNICE TRAIN SOUNDS\nNice Train Sounds was created by Julian Stefanzick (Wawful) and Andrew Valdez (Slap Serif)\, and started as a radio show on KUGS\, taking inspiration from plunderphonics and synth-pop\, and eventually grew into a collaborative music performance. \nHORTUS CURO\nThe collaboration of father-son duo Bruce and Miles Hamilton. Their name is taken from Latin and translates as something like “lawn care”\nhttp://brucehamilton.info/bio.html \n~~~\nAltLib is always ALL AGES!\nNOTAFLOF
