We will be covering the basic foundational poses of acrobatic yoga\, some therapeutic flying poses\, and building up to learn new flows (Ninja Star & Around the World). Cat Valley features dreamy/haunting harmonies from Abby Hegge and Whitney Flinn’s vocals with melodic guitar lines and crunchy tones. Melanie Sehmen\, Music Department Chair of Whatcom Community College\, joined the band after a year or so and added her awesome jazzy percussive prowess to complete the sweet tones of Abby and Whitney’s guitars’.\nCat Valley started when Abby Hegge played some songs at Whitney Flinn’s birthday party and made her cry. They started jamming together and writing songs about all the shit that really pisses them off. Cat Valley’s lyrics use humor and parody to tackle difficult topics and talk about mansplaining\, politics and the power of listening to each other.\nCat Valley is: Whitney Flinn on guitar/vox\, Abby Hegge on guitar/vox\, and Melanie Sehmen on drums.  \nSupermissive (BHAM) – https://supermissive.bandcamp.com/\nFormerly “Avalanchea\,” Supermissive is the creative effort of four individuals fusing elements of psychedelic rock\, desert rock\, and heavy metal into progressive and conceptual music about space\, time\, justice\, injustice\, life\, and death. \nTEO (BHAM) – We don’t have social media or bandcamp so you can tell we’re fresh. Joking aside\, we play a mixture of bossa nova and pop with indie rock tendencies. We’re hoping it makes you want to dance and relax. DESCRIPTION:Join Mackenzie Rae and Kyra for a Beginner Series of Partner Acrobatic Yoga. All are welcome! You can come solo or with a partner. We will be covering the basic foundational poses of acrobatic yoga\, some therapeutic flying poses\, and building up to learn new flows (Ninja Star & Around the World). If you are new to Acrobatic Yoga\, it is encouraged that you start with us from the beginning because we will be building upon the poses we learn in every class.  \nFriday’s from 2-4 \nMay 4th\nMay 11th\nMay 18th\nMay 25th  \n$18 for a drop in\n$65 for whole series \nStudent Discount (with valid ID)\n$15 for a drop in\n$65 \nOnly cash payments are accepted and will be taken on the first day of the series.  \nPre-registration is required as space is limited to 12 people. Please email contact@mackenzie-rae.com to reserve your spot. \nPlease bring your own yoga mat if you have one and wear comfortable clothing. Avoid any low cut or flowy tops as you will be going upside down!
