SUMMARY:Letters To Prisoners
DESCRIPTION:We will gather in the backyard for a kind of info session about prisoner solidarity in the US and then break out to write letters to incarcerated people. \nWe have assembled some information and correspondence with specific prisoners\, and we will provide pens\, paper\, and envelopes! \nAs Biden/Harris crack down even harder on anyone fighting for any semblance of justice with their new “anti-terrorism” law\, we’re stepping our game up and learning to better support and include our captured comrades in the ongoing struggle (as more comrades may end up captured)… \nSee our Prisoner Solidarity page for more info~

SUMMARY:Arrington de Dionyso // Cookie Tongue // Larkin Grimm
DESCRIPTION:Our collection has been entirely packed away for the summer\, but we’re hosting one last backyard performance at the old pottery studio\, featuring: \nArrington de Dionyso is a self-taught artist\, musician and linguist. He is the founder of seminal NW post-punk bands Old Time Relijun\, Malaikat dan Singa\, and the avant-jazz ensembles This Saxophone Kills Fascists and Trance Music For Crows. He has performed and exhibited around the world\, and as a kind of “punk ethnomusicologist” Arrington circumvents academic approaches in favor of building direct cooperative relationships with diverse musical cultures\, as an invited participant and active collaborator. \nCookie Tongue is a freak-folk duo from NYC\, creating a menagerie of puppetry\, animation\, butoh-inspired dance\, and ritual magic\, and performing original songs and whimsical interludes\, inspired by surreal mythology\, fairytales\, childhood\, ghost stories\, and a sprinkle of the occult. Performed with guitar\, singing saw\, glockenspiel\, organ\, bells\, drums\, experimental percussion\, and orphaned toys. \nLarkin Grimm Larkin Grimm is a NYC based composer\, singer\, and multi-instrumentalist\nwho bridges the worlds of folk\, rock n’ roll\, noise\, and free jazz. Music is invisible sculpture! \n$8 // All-Ages // NOTAFLOF
