An Evening of Folk Music & Film with Behind the Mountain Yarns

Behind the Mountain Yarns is a film and curation project exploring the state of contemporary folk music and its relationship to place and community. The project was dreamed into being by Dana Anastasia and Kestral Laipply, two artists whose lives revolve around music and who perform together in their duo Twin Whistle. The artists produce short, documentary-style musical films showcasing live, unplugged performances by people in the folk music world you might not otherwise hear, but who will surely grab your attention.
Doors at 7:00pm; Show at 7:30pm
$10-15 supports the artists and the AltLib
We’ll begin the evening by screening some of the recent videos produced by Behind the Mountain, before sliding into performances from Katie Rudman, Glass Egg, and Twin Whistle!
