EVENTS CALENDAR
While we are in transition and searching for a stable home base, we will continue to produce events with some of our neighborhood partners.
The AltLib Popup Series will present roving events to continue supporting expansive art projects and dig deep for uncommon cultural exchanges. If you’re interested in setting up a show with us, please read our booking page and send us an e-mail.

Arrington de Dionyso // Cookie Tongue // Larkin Grimm
July 29, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Our collection has been entirely packed away for the summer, but we’re hosting one last backyard performance at the old pottery studio, featuring:
Arrington de Dionyso is a self-taught artist, musician and linguist. He is the founder of seminal NW post-punk bands Old Time Relijun, Malaikat dan Singa, and the avant-jazz ensembles This Saxophone Kills Fascists and Trance Music For Crows. He has performed and exhibited around the world, and as a kind of “punk ethnomusicologist” Arrington circumvents academic approaches in favor of building direct cooperative relationships with diverse musical cultures, as an invited participant and active collaborator.
Cookie Tongue is a freak-folk duo from NYC, creating a menagerie of puppetry, animation, butoh-inspired dance, and ritual magic, and performing original songs and whimsical interludes, inspired by surreal mythology, fairytales, childhood, ghost stories, and a sprinkle of the occult. Performed with guitar, singing saw, glockenspiel, organ, bells, drums, experimental percussion, and orphaned toys.
Larkin Grimm Larkin Grimm is a NYC based composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist
who bridges the worlds of folk, rock n’ roll, noise, and free jazz. Music is invisible sculpture!
