While we are in transition and searching for a stable home base, we will continue to produce events with some of our neighborhood partners.

The AltLib Popup Series will present roving events to continue supporting expansive art projects and dig deep for uncommon cultural exchanges. If you’re interested in setting up a show with us, please read our booking page and send us an e-mail.

Bemya / Earth Practice / Alexander / Jim Jackson

April 6, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

From folk fingerpickin’ to airy a capella, this show presents warm, down-to-earth local comrades!

Doors at 7:30pm; Music at 8:00pm
$6-10 supports the artists and the AltLib

Alexander – David Shapiro is a musician from New Haven, CT, who performs and records solo guitar music under the name Alexander. Their sets range from finger-style acoustic guitar to feedback oriented electric guitar to drone/noise/etc. For this tour it’s all acoustic stuff.

The music of Bellingham’s Jack Johnson, who plays under the monicker Jim Jackson, has a playful feeling, you have likely heard him busking on the corners or in jam circles around town. Accompanied by the hot fingers of fiddler Joey Gish, they’ll provide us with an eclectic set of folkgrass/grunge in a fingerpluckin’ style sure to get you singing along.

Bemya B’arboroja – Bemya is a gnome who lives in a tree, and is friends with many animals.

Earth Practice – Earth Practice is a trio of singers recently transplanted to Bellingham by way of Philly. Yin, Yam & Jessi Rado create woo crew R&B in celebration of an Earthly existence.
