EVENTS CALENDAR
While we are in transition and searching for a stable home base, we will continue to produce events with some of our neighborhood partners.
The AltLib Popup Series will present roving events to continue supporting expansive art projects and dig deep for uncommon cultural exchanges. If you’re interested in setting up a show with us, please read our booking page and send us an e-mail.

Poetrynight ft Oliver Amatist
June 17, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Another Monday, another featured poet!
As usual the open mic portion will begin around 7.
Born and raised throughout the Pacific Northwest, Oliver Amatist is a free verse spoken word poet emerging in the performance art community. With his surprise debut performance speaking at the Bite of Seattle 2017, in front of hundreds, he aims to bring that same mentality to his tour at Washington cafés, book stores, and poetry venues. Come join in on his spoken word set, Messages of a Deviant Angle and Soak in a Slice of Americana.

The second longest running Bellingham poetry group – Poetrynight.
All people are invited to join the group any Monday night at 7pm. You don’t have to be a writer to participate as readers of all ages are always invited to sign up to read between 7-7:30. Not all works must be originals.
Poetrynight got its start in Stuart’s Coffeehouse in 1995, when a group of poets gathered around a table to share their current work. It has grown over the years as it moved to different locations.
Poetrynight is a program under the Whatcom poetry series, and besides the weekly open mic/feature, can provide creative writing workshops for schools. Messages of a Deviant Angle and soak in a slice of Americana.
