SAMAHTA: Play by Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights

February 27, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights presents a play has no lighting or prop requests, other than a stool or chair. It lasts one hour and has two actors. The play is called SAMAHTA, and tells the story of a Palestinian grandfather and grandson who relearn their histories after losing their home under Israeli occupation. I’ve attached the description below. The performers are two members of the Seattle Palestinian community, one of whom is the brother of a student up here at WWU. They do this play completely free as a means of artivism and solidarity. Here is the description of the play: http://www.islandtheatre.org/samatah-memory-of-stones/
