This collection includes a variety of differently styled stories all from the mind of Moebius. Many of these stories were never to be revisited and are told in a kind of punch-line style reminiscent of gag comics.
The world building artwork is so catching that many have said Moebius’ work on these stories is what came to define the aesthetic that later evolved into cyber-punk.
While being wildly imaginative, many of the stories in this volume are also very funny. By any other standard these stories would probably be outstanding, but in the context of Moebius’ later work, these stories seem much less developed.
