Elissa Ball

More or Less is a collection of silly comparisons that Elissa’s been addicted to making for the past eight years. She used to refer to them as «math jokes,» but they’re not about math. They utilize the «greater than» and «less than» symbols of mathematics to create a format that snickers at the way a word’s meaning (and value) can change—sometimes drastically—with a simple tweak. Elissa’s obsessed with puns for similar reasons. Wordplay is a type of fun that feels deliciously subversive.
