Triangle: The Fire that Changed America

In 1911 a fire broke out in Manhattan’s Triangle Shirtwaist Co. 146 workers lost their lives because the bosses locked the exit doors. This fire helped launch fire safety codes and the International Ladies Garment Union ionto a powerful force for workers rights.
