Enos A. Mills

Enos Abijah Mills (1870-1922) was an American conservationist, naturalist and author, regarded as the “father” of the Rocky Mountain National Park. As a child he was sent to live with relatives in Estes Park in Colorado. He spent his time discovering the area. He built a small cabin which was later turned into a museum. His works include: Wild Life on the Rockies (1909), The Rocky Mountain Wonderland (1915), Adventures of a Nature Guide, The Story of Early Estes Park, Spell of the Rockies, Watched by Wild Animals, Grizzly: Our Greatest Wild Animal, Bird Memories of the Rockies and Waiting in the Wilderness.
